Camround Review 2026: Free Random Video Chat With Country and Gender Filters, No Sign-Up

Camround is one of many Omegle-style sites that drop you straight into a webcam chat with a random stranger. This 2026 review explains how Camround works, which features are free, how safe it is and how it stacks up against rivals such as our full CamSurf review and the picks in our guide to the best Omegle alternatives.

Camround at a glance

Что такое Camround?

Camround is a случайный видео чат website that pairs adults with strangers for one-on-one webcam conversations. It has been online since at least 2021, and the company says it has users in more than 160 countries and an interface localised into 18 languages, though it doesn’t publish independent figures to back that up. There are no profiles, feeds or friend lists: it’s pure chat roulette, much like how Chatspin works or the simple stranger-matching on 1ТП15Т.

Как работает Camround?

1. Go to camround.com in a desktop or mobile browser and press Start Video Chat.
2. Allow camera and microphone access when your browser asks.
3. Confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
4. Optionally choose a country from the dropdown or set your gender preference.
5. Chat by video, voice or text, and press Next to skip to a new stranger at any time.

Camround’s main features

Is Camround free?

Yes, basic random video chat on Camround is free and needs no account. Camround’s terms say the site may also offer paid subscriptions or premium features, and its refund policy states that those purchases are billed and supported by CooMeet, so check the price and terms on the payment page before you pay for anything.

Pros and cons

Is Camround safe to use?

Camround is about as safe as other random video chat sites if you stay anonymous: it’s 18+ only and publishes rules, terms and a privacy policy, but it says little about how chats are moderated. Your own habits are the main protection.

• Keep your face and room neutral. Hide anything that reveals your name, school, workplace or address.
• Never share contact details. Don’t give out your phone number, social media handles or email to strangers.
• Ignore links and money requests. Scammers on video chat often push outside links, “verification” sites or payment apps.
• Assume you’re being recorded. Anything you show on camera can be captured, so don’t do anything you’d regret being shared.
• Skip fast. If someone is rude or explicit, press Next immediately.
• 18+ only. Camround is for adults, and you may encounter mature content.

How Camround compares

If you want more filters and chat modes than Camround offers, our Chatrandom review covers a long-running site with themed rooms as well as one-on-one video. If you’d rather see the whole field, our guide to talking to strangers on video call ranks the main options, and our roundup of Chatroulette-style sites covers more roulette-format alternatives.

Who is Camround best for?

Camround is best for adults who want quick, no-commitment video chats with strangers and like being able to narrow matches by country or gender without making an account. It’s a weaker fit if you want a dedicated app, verified profiles or a site with a clearly explained moderation team, in which case a more community-driven option like Emerald Chat may suit you better. If you just want to jump on camera right now, you can also try our free cam chat with strangers, which needs no sign-up (18+).

Frequently asked questions

Is Camround free?

Yes, basic random video chat on Camround is free. Its terms say the site may also offer paid subscriptions or premium features, and its refund policy says those purchases are billed and supported by CooMeet rather than Camround itself.

Do I need to sign up to use Camround?

No. You start a chat by allowing webcam access and confirming you are at least 18, with no account or email required.

Is Camround safe?

Camround is as safe as most random video chat sites if you stay anonymous: it is 18+ only and publishes rules and terms, but it gives few details about moderation. Keep personal details private, skip anyone who makes you uncomfortable and never send money or follow links from strangers.

Does Camround have a gender filter?

Yes. Camround says its gender feature lets you be matched with the opposite gender, and a country filter lets you pick a specific country or stay worldwide.

Is there a Camround app?

Not yet. Camround runs in desktop and mobile browsers, and the site says its mobile apps are coming soon, so there is no official iOS or Android app to download.

How old do you have to be to use Camround?

You must be 18 or older, or the legal age in your country if that is higher. Camround asks you to confirm your age before you start chatting.

The bottom line

Camround delivers the basics of random video chat well: no account, a country filter, a gender preference option and a fast skip button, all free in your browser. It loses points for having no app, offering little detail on moderation and routing paid extras through a third party. For quick, casual cam chats it’s a reasonable choice; if you want more features, compare it with the sites above before you settle in. Our rating: 3/5.
