TL;DR — Camskip Revisar
Camskip is a free, no-sign-up webcam charlar where you choose extraños from a live user list instead of spinning a roulette. You can filter by age, gender and location at no cost, chat by video, audio or text, and add a free account for friends and online alerts. It is basic-looking and browser-only, but the free filters make it more useful than many roulette clones. Rating: 3.5/5.
- Best for: adults who want free filters and to choose who they talk to
- Costo: 100% free, including filters and accounts
- Standout feature: age, gender and location filters on a live user list
- Skip it if: you want a polished mobile app or instant one-click matching
Camskip is a long-running webcam chat site that markets itself as an alternative to Chatroulette and Omegle. Where most aleatorio video chats throw you at whoever is next in the queue, Camskip shows a list of people online and lets you narrow it by age, gender and location for free. In this 2026 review we look at how it works, how safe it is and how it compares with similar user-list sites such as our Chatpig review.

What is Camskip?
Camskip is a browser-based chat community where you can see, hear and type to strangers. It sits somewhere between a chat room and a roulette site: a sidebar lists who is online, you click someone to start a cam-to-cam chat, and if it isn’t working you simply click someone else. You can also leave matching open to anyone.
The house rules are clearer than on many similar sites. Camskip bans illegal or copyrighted content, recording or replaying other users’ video, posting contact information and spam.
How does Camskip work?
- Go to camskip.com in your browser; no download is needed.
- Set your preferences: age, gender and location, or leave them open.
- Allow camera and microphone access if you want Cam2Cam (text works without a camera).
- Click a user in the list to start chatting by video, audio or text.
- Click another user to move on, or use the X next to a nickname to block or report someone.
Camskip’s key features
| Característica | What it does | Por qué es importante |
|---|---|---|
| Free filters | Narrow partners by age, gender and location | Most roulette sites charge for this |
| Live user list | Shows who is online so you choose who to call | More control than blind random matching |
| Video, audio and text | See, hear and type to your partner | Chat however you are comfortable |
| Cam2Cam | Two-way webcam chat | Face-to-face conversation when both want it |
| Friends and alerts | Free account saves friends and notifies you when they are online | Turns a good chat into a repeat conversation |
| Block and report | X button next to each nickname plus an abuse page | Quick way to remove bad actors |
Is Camskip free?
Yes, Camskip says it is 100% free. Chatting, the age, gender and location filters and a user account all cost nothing, and you do not need a credit card. Older reviews describe paid gender filters, but on the current site the filters are part of the free experience.
Pros and cons
| ventajas | Contras |
|---|---|
| Completely free, filters included | Dated, basic interface |
| No registration needed to start | No dedicated iOS or Android app |
| Choose who you chat with from a live list | Smaller user base than the biggest roulette sites |
| Clear rules against recording and sharing contact details | Moderation relies heavily on user reports |
| Text chat works without a webcam | Adult users and content can appear unexpectedly |
Is Camskip safe to use?
Camskip is reasonably safe for adults who follow basic precautions. It has clear rules, a block and report button next to every nickname and a dedicated abuse page, but it is an open 18+ webcam community, so you can still run into rude or explicit users.
- Don’t share contact details. Posting phone numbers or social handles breaks the rules and exposes you.
- Assume you could be recorded. Recording is banned, but you can’t fully prevent it, so keep your face and background in mind.
- Use the filters. Narrowing by age and location reduces random unwanted contact.
- Block and report fast. Use the X next to a nickname the moment someone crosses a line.
- 18+ only. Camskip is for adults; minors should not use it.
How Camskip compares with similar sites
| Sitio | How you match | Free filters? | Sign-up | Mejor para |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Camskip | Pick from a live user list | Yes (age, gender, location) | Opcional | Choosing who you talk to |
| Chatpig | Pick from a user list | Gender shown, no country filter | Opcional | Text or chat de cámara with groups |
| Chatville | Random plus user list | Gender filter | Opcional | Multi-cam chat with up to four people |
| Chatrandom | Random roulette | Some filters paid | Opcional | A large global user base |
Camskip’s free filters are its biggest advantage over roulette-style rivals. If you prefer a busier random queue, how Chatrandom works is worth comparing, and if you want group webcam rooms, Chatville’s multi-cam chat is a close relative.
Who is Camskip best for?
