iMeetzu Review 2026: Is This Free Random Video and Text Chat Site Still Worth Using?

iMeetzu has been around for years as a no-frills way to video chat or text with random strangers, and it is still online in 2026. This review covers how it works, what is actually free, how safe it is and where it falls behind newer sites, and if it isn’t for you, our roundup of the best iMeetzu alternatives lists better-maintained options.

iMeetzu at a glance

Čo je iMeetzu?

iMeetzu is a free random chat website that pairs you with a stranger for one-on-one video or text conversations, in the same spirit as the original Omegle. Alongside random chat it offers group video chat rooms, a separate gay chat section and a “stranger social network” where registered users can save people they meet and message them later. It is far more basic than modern platforms such as Chathub, which adds country and gender filters, and closer to old-school random video sites like Chatrandom.

How does iMeetzu work?

1. Go to imeetzu.com in any desktop or mobile browser.
2. Confirm you are at least 18 and accept the terms of service.
3. Choose video chat or text chat (or open the group chat rooms).
4. Allow camera and microphone access if you picked video, and you’ll be connected to a random stranger who chose the same mode.
5. Skip to the next person at any time, or register for free if you want to save someone as a friend and message them later.

iMeetzu’s main features

Je iMeetzu zadarmo?

Yes, iMeetzu says its video chat, text chat and group chat rooms are completely free, and the site does not advertise a VIP or premium plan in 2026. It is funded by ads, so expect banners and promoted links to other zoznamka and chat sites while you use it.

Pros and cons

Is iMeetzu safe to use?

iMeetzu is reasonably safe only if you are careful, because it relies on an 18+ confirmation and its terms rather than visible moderation. The site says illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement, but it does not describe active monitoring or a report button, so random chats can include explicit or rude users.

• Stay anonymous. Don’t share your full name, address, phone number, school or workplace, and keep identifying details out of your camera view.
• Ignore links and money requests. Strangers pushing links, “verification” sites or payment apps are almost always scammers.
• Use the private cam in group rooms. Set your webcam to private so only people you approve can see you.
• Assume you can be recorded. Anything you show on camera or send in text can be screenshotted.
• Skip and leave. If a chat turns uncomfortable, move on immediately.
• 18+ only. iMeetzu is strictly for adults, and random chats can include mature content.

How iMeetzu compares

If you’d rather type than show your face, how Chatous handles text-only random chat is worth a look, and our guide to the best Omegle alternatives ranks the most active random video sites right now.

Who is iMeetzu best for?

iMeetzu is best for adults who want quick, anonymous random video or text chat in a browser without making an account, and who don’t mind a dated, ad-heavy site. It’s a weaker fit if you want filters, an app or strong moderation; for those, our guide to video calling strangers safely points to better options. If you just want to start talking now, try our free video chat with strangers, which needs no sign-up (18+).

Frequently asked questions

Je iMeetzu zadarmo?

Yes. iMeetzu describes its random video chat, text chat and group chat rooms as completely free, and it does not advertise a paid or VIP plan. The site is supported by ads, so expect banners and promoted links.

Do I need to sign up to use iMeetzu?

No. You can start random video or text chat without registering, after confirming you are 18 or older and accepting the terms. Registration is only needed for the optional stranger social network, where you can save new friends and message them later.

Je iMeetzu bezpečný?

iMeetzu is only as safe as your own habits. It is adults-only and says illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement, but it does not describe active moderation or an in-chat reporting tool, so never share personal details, ignore links from strangers and leave any chat that turns uncomfortable.

Is iMeetzu still working in 2026?

Yes. As of October 2026 the iMeetzu website is still online and offers random video chat, text chat and group chat rooms in the browser. Its Android app, however, is no longer available.

Does iMeetzu have an app?

No. iMeetzu says its Android app is no longer available, and we found no iOS app either. You can still use the site in a mobile browser on Android or iPhone, or on a desktop computer.

How old do you have to be to use iMeetzu?

You must be at least 18. iMeetzu requires every user to confirm they are an adult and agree to its terms before chatting.

The bottom line

iMeetzu still does the basics in 2026: free random video and text chat, group rooms and no account needed to start. But the discontinued Android app, heavy ads, lack of filters and minimal visible moderation leave it behind newer random chat sites. It’s fine for a quick, casual chat in your browser; just keep your personal details to yourself and skip anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Our rating: 2.5/5.
