Chat Alternative Review 2026: Is This Free Random Video Chat Safe and Worth Using?

Chat Alternative is a free rastgele görüntülü sohbet site that does one thing: it connects you face to face with a stranger and lets you skip to the next person whenever you want. If you’ve used Chatroulette, the original roulette chat, you’ll feel at home. In this 2026 review we look at how Chat Alternative works, what’s free, how safe it is and which sites to try if it isn’t for you.

Chat Alternative at a glance

Chat Alternative nedir?

Chat Alternative is a browser-based roulette chat: you’re paired with a random person for a one-on-one video call, with a text box alongside, and you press Next to move on. There are no profiles, no swiping and no group rooms. Its Android app is listed on Google Play under ATOM SOFTWARE LLC. In format it’s closest to OmeTV, another free one-on-one video chat, which also adds country choice to the classic roulette idea.

Yes. The core random video chat is free with no time limit, and you don’t need an account to use it. Prices for any extras aren’t published on the site.

Pros and cons

Is Chat Alternative safe to use?

Chat Alternative is moderately safe: its terms describe 24/7 human moderators supported by automated tools, it reviews reports and still images from video streams, and it asks users to keep their face visible. Even so, Google Play reviews mention minors and explicit behaviour, so follow the usual rules:

• Keep personal details private: no full name, address, school, workplace or social handles.
• Assume you could be recorded and keep your background neutral.
• Report and skip anyone who’s explicit, abusive or appears underage.
• Don’t move to other apps with someone you’ve just met.
• 18+ only. Chat Alternative is for adults; if you’re under 18, don’t use it.
